What is RRB NTPC 2020?
RRB NTPC 2020exam dateshave beenannouncedby the Chairman of the Railway Board. Thefirst stage CBT examwill commence fromDecember 28 onwards and will continue till the last week of March 2021.Earlier, the exam was scheduled to be conducted from December 15 onwards. The exam will be conducted while observing the COVID-19 guidelines.RRB NTPC examwill be conducted for1.25 crore applicants. Indian Railways had releasedRRB NTPC 2020notificationunder Centralised Employment notice no. CEN 01/2019. The exam is conducted to select candidates forNon-Technical Popular Categories (NTPC)graduate and undergraduate postsin various Zonal Railways and Production Units of Indian Railways. A total of35,208 vacancieswill be filled through RRB NTPC 2020 exam. The notification was released in 2019 and the exam was scheduled to be conducted between June and September. However, the process is delayed due to the non-finalisation of the exam conducting agency and COVID-19 pandemic in the country. The exam will be conducted in15 languages.

With the approval for setting up of National Recruitment Agency or NRA by the Union Cabinet, going forward the preliminary exams of Railways will be conducted by the agency. A Common Eligibility Test (CET) will be conducted to appoint candidates for Group B and C posts. However, the stages for further selection of candidates will be done by the RRBs.

The eligibility criteria of RRB NTPC is given below in terms of age and educational qualification.
Age limit:
For 7thCPC Level 2 and 3 undergraduate level posts, candidates should be between 18 to 30 years as on July 1, 2019.

Candidates for second stage CBT is done 20 times the number of vacancies. The shortlisting for the second stage is based on the merit of candidates for the first stage. The shortlisting for skill tests such as Computer-based Aptitude Test and Typing Skill Test is done 8 times the number of vacancies and based on the merit of candidates in the second stage CBT. On completion of all stages of the recruitment process, RRBs will allot post & railway units as per the option given by candidates subjected to merit, medical standard, and vacancy position.
Railway Recruitment Board announced a total of 35208 vacancies for the RRB NTPC 2020 Exam. The details onRRB NTPC2020 Vacancyhas been announced in the Official Notice released by Railway Recruitment Board. The Vacancies have been announced for all non-technical posts offered through RRB NTPC Exam.
